The ZamZam Indian Cuisine | Our Story

Four friends, one shared vision
The ZamZam Indian Cuisine was born from the shared dream of four friends who set out to bring authentic Halal Indian food to the heart of Buffalo.

Burhan, Belal, Lony, and Abdul
Burhan Ali, Belal Ahmed, Lony Ahmed, and Abdul Khan Fahim came together with a clear goal: give Buffalo a place for truly authentic, fully Halal Indian food. That founding commitment shapes every dish, every welcome, and every meal served here.

Guided by Chef Choudhary
Executive Chef Choudhary brings a lifetime of five-star culinary experience from India to the kitchen at 601 Main Street. His training informs every marinade, every spice blend, and every dish that leaves the kitchen.
From the tandoor
The traditional clay tandoor oven is central to how this kitchen cooks — its dry, intense heat chars flatbreads at the rim and gives marinated dishes their signature depth. It's an ancient technique that no shortcut can replicate.

A journey through Indian heritage
The menu moves across India's culinary landscape — slow-cooked curries, aromatic biryani, freshly baked naan, seafood, and vegetable dishes — all prepared with care and all Halal-certified. There's real breadth here, grounded in tradition.

Fine dining as heritage
As the founders put it, fine dining is more than a service — it is our heritage. Whether guests come in for the lunch buffet, order takeout, or book a private event, the welcome at ZamZam is always warm and personal.
